Starbucks Offends Customer!
Do you know how many calories are in your Starbucks coffee?
A Starbucks customer was highly offended by the writing placed on his coffee. This man, who asked to remain anonymous, purchased a Grande White Mocha that had written, “Diabetes here I come”. Little did the Starbucks employee know, the man has two sisters who have been fighting Type 1 Diabetes since they were young. Thus, the man was triggered by the comment and wrote back on the cup, “2 of my sisters are diabetic, so … not funny.”
The angered customer sent a picture of the Mocha to the store manager who is working to fix the problem and said, “We strive to provide an inclusive and positive experience for our customers, and we’re disappointed to learn of this incident. We are working directly with the customer to apologize for his experience, and with our partners (employees) to ensure this does not happen again.”
So how many calories are in your Starbucks coffee? The answer is unbelievable- The Grande White Mocha above is a 16 oz. with 470 calories. Thus, Starbucks has been under fire for how unhealthy some of their drinks are. To put in perspective how much 470 calories is, imagine more calories than a double-cheese burger from McDonald’s!

The Panama Papers: Confidential Information Leaked
The Panama Papers are a leaked set of 11.5 million confidential documents that provide detailed information about more than 214,000 offshore companies listed by the Panamanian corporate service provider Mossack Fonseca, including the identities of shareholders and directors of the companies.
The documents have shown how wealthy individuals, including public officials, hide their money from public scrutiny for tax-avoidance. At the time of publication, the papers identified five then-heads of state or government leaders from Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Iceland, Ukraine, and the United Arab Emirates. Government officials , close relatives, and close associates of various heads of government of more than forty other countries, including the United Kingdom, Brazil, China, France, Russia, Spain, India, and South Africa.
While the use of offshore business entities is not illegal in the jurisdictions in which they are registered, during their investigation reporters found that some of the shell companies may have been used for illegal purposes, including fraud, drug trafficking, and tax evasion.
